There are many ways to follow the oyster road from Saujon to Ronce-les-Bains with stop overs in the oyster farming villages of the Seudre. On the little tourist train, by boat, by car and of course by bike, crossing oyster beds and marshes. Mornac-sur-Seudre, with it's covered markets from the 18th century, is one of the most beautiful fortified villages in France. Chaillavette, Chatreusac, the ports of green oyster country, are also ports of call where you can stroll around the colourful fishing huts breathing in the scent of the sea. The museum consecrated to the breeding and history of oysters is well worth seeing in Tremblade, the first oyster-farming port in France.
